HR Questionnaire Analysis
HR Questionnaire Analysis
At AnatoliaDev, we were approached by a city’s Department of Public Works to conduct a comprehensive analysis of their recent employee satisfaction survey. With over 1,500 employees participating, the survey aimed to measure job satisfaction and identify actionable insights to enhance staff motivation and engagement. Our analysis was structured into three key phases: data exploration and profiling, data preparation, and visualization to derive meaningful insights.
Data Exploration and Profiling
The initial step involved thoroughly examining the survey data to understand its structure and identify any inconsistencies or missing information. This included detecting and addressing missing, incomplete, or duplicate responses. Identifying any anomalies that could skew the results. Ensuring standardized responses across categorical fields such as department names, job titles, and satisfaction ratings. Data enrichment was discussed in areas where it was applicable, such as department-specific demographics, but in the end was viewed as something that was not needed.
Data Preparation and Reformatting
Once the data was cleaned, we proceeded to prepare it for visual analysis. Key activities included converting satisfaction ratings into consistent scales for uniform interpretation. Developing key metrics such as average satisfaction scores. Consolidating survey data with other internal datasets to provide additional context for the analysis. This structured approach ensured the data was ready for meaningful visualization and interpretation.
Visualization and Key Insights
With the data refined and structured, we designed a report using Microsoft Excel. The visualization provided clear, actionable insights for the HR leadership team. Some notable findings included departmental satisfaction trends, notably field operations, reported lower satisfaction scores compared to administrative teams.
Recommendations
Based on our analysis, we recommend the following actionable steps for the HR leadership team to implement career development Initiatives and establish mentorship programs and offer clear career progression paths. We also suggested developing more frequent and personalized employee recognition efforts. Expand remote work opportunities where applicable. With further insights that was taken we concluded that investing in leadership training programs, such as manager training, to enhance managerial effectiveness.
